1. Downloading Real Player
Real.com will try to sell you a "Premium Player" when
you visit their site, but there is always a free "RealOne
Player" available, they make the link inconspicuous at the bottom
or right-hand side of the page, you will have to follow the links
for "Basic" and or free RealOne Player they change them
regularly so we can not give you a direct link to it. It is not necessary
to give your Credit Card details or make any payment.
2. If Real Player doesn't start.
If your Real Player does not start when you click
on the link, you have to change the file associations.
This is done by clicking on "Tools" on the Real Player menu bar then
selecting "Preferences"
Then "Contents" followed by "Media" from the file tree in the left-hand panel. From the right-hand panel scroll down and put a check mark in the box marked "RealMedia(rm) "
3. Optimising Real Player
To ensure that your Real Player has the optimum settings for
your internet connection
Select "Tools" on the Real Player menu bar then selecting "Preferences" as
shown above.
Then "Connection" from the file tree in the lefthand panel. From the
right-hand panel, select Test Connection "
